Legal
The rules of the road, in words you can read on a phone at an open house.
Draft of October 31, 2026. These terms are between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [ENTITY TYPE AND STATE OF FORMATION], [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (“GayMoves”, “we”), the operator of gaymoves.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
GayMoves is a directory and introduction service for people on the move. We help you find licensed real estate agents, and may introduce lenders, inspectors, attorneys and movers who work with them, whether you are buying, selling, renting or relocating. We are not a brokerage, we do not represent buyers or sellers, and we do not give legal, tax, lending, immigration or financial advice. A page about a city or state is general information from public sources, each with its source and date, and it is not legal advice. Laws change and courts block them: confirm with a qualified professional.
robots.txt and our rate limits is welcome. You sign in with an emailed link or a passkey. Keep your devices and email secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access. You can delete your account at any time (see deleting your data).
Agents who list on GayMoves promise that:
We may remove or hide profiles, reviews or content that break these standards or the law, after human review where we can.
Ratings count only reviews tied to a completed transaction. Agents may reply publicly but cannot delete reviews. We remove reviews for abuse, fake or incentivized content, or conflicts of interest after human moderation, and we do not take payment to change a rating. A reviewer can withdraw their own review.
Using the site is free for home seekers. Agents pay by the plan they choose on the pricing page and, on closed deals that began with an introduction from us, by the referral fee policy, which is a percentage of gross commission before any brokerage split, with no per-deal cap. Subscriptions are month to month and can be cancelled online. Card payments are handled by Stripe and we never see full card numbers. Taxes are extra where applicable. Territory and sponsored placements never change the order in which we explain to a consumer who they are talking to, and are always labeled. At the date of this draft billing runs in Stripe test mode only; owner to confirm live billing terms before launch.
We link to sources and to other sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for them. City data is compiled from public sources and may be out of date or incomplete; each figure carries its source and retrieval date, and where a source has no record we say so rather than guess.
We work to keep information accurate, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we cannot promise any outcome from working with any agent or partner. Agent availability changes, and a listing is not an endorsement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for the acts of agents, partners or other users, and our total liability to you for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and $100. Agents will indemnify us against claims caused by their content or conduct. Some places do not allow some of these limits, and then they apply only as far as the law permits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. For counsel: confirm these limits.
You can stop using the service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms or the law. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) do.
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW AND COURTS], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts and any arbitration terms are for counsel to set; until then this paragraph is a placeholder. Consumer rights you cannot waive under the law where you live still apply.
If we change these terms in a way that matters we will say so on this page and by email to anyone with an account, before the change takes effect. Questions or legal notices: [LEGAL NOTICES MAILBOX], or use the contact form.
